  • Dec. 12, 14 and 20: 🔥 The Winter Solstice Music Ensemble returns to the Cowichan Valley for three nights of shows in Chemainus, Ladysmith and Duncan. Purchase your tickets online.
  • Friday, Dec. 12, 3:30 p.m.: 🎶 Everyone is invited to the VIRL Cowichan Valley Branch for a seasonal singalong with Cara McCandless and Naomi Payan.
  • Dec. 12 to Dec. 14: Shawnigan Lake Museum hosts four local artists for a free art show.
  • Saturday, Dec. 13, 9 a.m.: 🥞 Have a pancake breakfast and meet Santa at the Eagles Hall.
  • Saturday, Dec 13, 12 p.m. and 4 p.m.: 💂Experience The Nutcracker, performed by Royal City Youth Ballet at the Cowichan Performing Arts Centre.
  • Sunday, Dec. 14, 10 a.m.: 🎅 Santa makes another stop at the Cowichan Aquatic Centre for a dip in the pool and pancake breakfast.
  • Sunday, Dec. 14, 2 p.m.: 🎼 Classical and Celtic harps combine with other medieval instruments to perform a night of carols in Winter Harp.
  • Sunday, Dec. 14, 11 a.m.: Glenora Farm hosts its 2025 Christmas Fair with local vendors, musical performances and children’s activities. 
  • Sunday, Dec. 14, 12:30 p.m.: ⛸️ The Cowichan Community Centre arena will transform into a winter wonderland for a family skate, featuring holiday music and an on-ice fireplace.
  • Monday, Dec. 15, 6:30 p.m.: 🟦 The Cowichan Watershed Board hosts a talk on drinking water in the Cowichan Valley and what the Cowichan Valley Regional District is doing to protect this vital resource. 
  • Saturday, Dec. 20, 10:00 a.m.: 🐮 Head out to Promise Valley Farm for A Moo-ey Christmas. Meet their cows and pick up any last minute Christmas gifts from their farm store.
  • Saturday, Dec. 20, 10:00 a.m.: ☕ The Chemainus Legion hosts a brunch with Santa featuring pancakes, hot cocoa, face painting and crafts. Entry is by donation.
